We worked with Utility People on a colourful brand & website refresh to position them as a leader in the utilities recruitment sector.

The Problem

Utility People have been working in energy and utilities recruitment for a number of years. They have a large client base, a dedicated team and many happy customers, but their existing website was dated and didn’t get across these key messages to the outside world. After a change at the top of the business, they wanted a new site which reflected the business’s energy and personality and communicated their unique expertise.

Our Approach

We started with a discovery phase where we ask lots of questions – what does the business do, who do they do it for and how are they different? Then we researched key competitors and search terms before putting together a sitemap and a project plan.

We then did some work on refreshing their existing branding, co-ordinated with one of our expert photographers to have some professional photography of the team, and worked with one of our recommended copywriters to improve and optimise the copy throughout the site.

The Result

The new site is bright, modern, impactful and positions the company as the experts in their field. The new design, photography and copy communicates much more effectively who Utility People are and what they do to new and prospective clients.

The new site also has a jobs section that is easy for candidates to search, and easy for staff to update, saving hours of admin time every week.

Very soon after the launch of the new site, the business received a high quality enquiry through the site from one of their ideal clients – the first of many!
